Camtrade Pass

The platform

A verifiable digital identity for every product

The Camtrade Pass architecture rests on the convergence of four technologies, described in the General Report as "a unique model in Africa".

The journey of a traced product

Each step produces a timestamped event, recorded immutably.

  1. 01

    The producer registers

The company joins the platform, declares its product references and is assigned a dedicated Account Manager.

  2. 02

The product receives its QR Code

A unique, secure QR Code is generated then applied to the product or batch, backed by GS1 standardisation under prefix 617.

  3. 03

    Each event is recorded

Production, transfers and inspections are recorded immutably. For sensitive products, IoT sensors add geolocation, temperature and humidity.

  4. 04

    Distribution stays traced

Through the Trust Network, the product stays tracked from distributor to courier-seller, all the way to home delivery.

  5. 05

    Collection is digitalised

Camtrade Pass Money ties the payment to the traced product — Mobile Money, card or foreign currency for the diaspora — with no commission for the producer.

  6. 06

    The consumer verifies

A single scan is enough to view the product history, its regulatory compliance and its authenticity.

The four technological foundations

  • PIPRA blockchain & traceability

Immutable recording of traceability events — production, transfers, inspections — designed to prevent after-the-fact manipulation of data.

  • GS1 standardisation (prefix "617")

The alliance with GS1 Cameroun gives products a Cameroonian identity recognised on international markets, lifting certain non-tariff barriers.

  • Artificial intelligence & IoT

Predictive market analysis, real-time industrial mapping, geolocation, temperature and humidity sensors for sensitive products.

  • Unique, secure QR Code

Applied to each product or batch, it gives access to its history, its regulatory compliance and its authenticity.

  • Beverage bottling line; an operator in a coat and hard hat records notes on a clipboard.
  • Aisle of a covered market: bunches of bananas, tomatoes and citrus on the stalls.
  • Multimodal logistics composition: container ship, cargo aircraft, truck and freight crates.

The GS1 "617" prefix, a recognised Cameroonian identity

The alliance with GS1 Cameroun gives products an internationally standardised identity, recognised on export markets and intended to lift certain non-tariff barriers.

The QR Code, the consumer's entry point

Applied to each product or batch, the unique QR Code gives access to the product's history, its regulatory compliance and its authenticity. Under the Terms of Use, it remains active until the end of the product's life cycle or its withdrawal from the market.
